VP, Franchise Development
Mitch Langston, VP Franchise Development, is responsible for leading the Development, Construction and Design and Real Estate Teams in the promotion, selection, negotiation and on-boarding of new Church’s domestic franchisees through the process of new site selection, acquisition, design, construction, and approval for domestic company and franchise restaurants.
With over 30+ years of experience in the restaurant industry, Mitch has built and enhanced the brand presence for Church’s Chicken over the last 3 and a half years. Prior to joining Church’s, he worked for Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, Chili’s Bar & Grill, Applebee’s Bar & Grill and Long John Silver’s, among others. He’s helped to grow brands across the U.S. and internationally in 50+ countries encompassing Europe, Middle East, Africa, North America, Central America, the Caribbean, Latin America, Australia and Asia Pacific.
Mitch received his MBA in Marketing from the University of North Texas.
Director, Domestic Real Estate
Monica Marty brings a wealth of real estate and business development knowledge to her role as Director, Domestic Real Estate at Church’s Chicken. Her responsibilities include site analysis and evaluation, domestic market planning, managing the real estate team, and leading Church’s site approval process for all locations. Over the past two years, Monica has been a key contributor to the development of the brand’s new business pipeline.
Monica’s most recent Church’s role as Senior Manager, Real Estate included working closely with key stakeholders as well as establishing strong working relationships with developing franchisees. Monica took the lead on a number of major projects, such as conducting the real estate market tour for Salt Lake City’s designated market area, an emerging market for the brand, and presented her findings at a franchisee event.
Prior to this, Monica served as Senior Real Estate Manager for Burger King Corporation, where, among other advancements, she restructured and streamlined the real estate department to provide better support to field real estate managers. Monica also played an integral part in developing and implementing the BKL Renewal Incentive Program, which resulted in increased franchisee renewals during a period of economic hardship for most franchisees.
Director of Design & Construction
Wayne Stubbs serves Church’s Chicken as the brand’s Director of Design & Construction. He has enjoyed a more than 40 year career in the real estate development industry; most of it restaurant development. He has built 500+ new restaurants and remodeled more than 500 as well. His last seven (7) years have been with Church’s Chicken. Prior to joining Church’s, Wayne provided executive design & construction leadership for national restaurant and shopping center development companies, including Rare Hospitality (The Capital Grille, Longhorn Steakhouse) and JDN Development (Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Kohl’s). Wayne’s seasoned expertise positioned him as an invaluable resource and facilitated his transition to Church’s. Wayne now applies his extensive construction knowledge and experience to lead and direct the planning, design and construction of Church’s new build, remodel, and special construction projects and initiatives as well as construction feasibility and brand standard compliance.
Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Auburn University.
