Church’s Texas Chicken® Accelerates Expansion in Canada with Two New Ontario Locations
Dedicated franchisee sees promising future for brand’s domestic and international growth period during this milestone year and beyond
June 16, 2022, ATLANTA – Church’s Texas Chicken®, one of the largest quick service restaurant chains in the world, celebrates its 70th Anniversary this year as it continues to grow its presence around the world, particularly in Canada which was one of the first international markets for the brand over 40 years ago. Today, Church’s Texas Chicken®announced it is expanding with two new locations opening in Ontario under franchisee Mian Nadeem, adding to Nadeem’s existing five locations.
After introducing to the market three locations earlier this year, Nadeem is now opening restaurants located at 16925 Yonge St, Newmarket, ON L3Y 5Y1 and 2700 Tecumseh Rd W, Windsor, ON N9B 3P9. These two restaurants are part of the brand’s Blaze initiative, a strategic re-branding campaign that features a modernized dining experience as well as significant updates to continue providing quality food and service.
Building on a two-year history as a successful Church’s Texas Chicken® franchisee, Nadeem’s family is dedicated to bringing more Church’s Texas Chicken® locations to Ontario – the brand’s fastest growing province with 35+ restaurants and growing almost every week – ensuring the brand becomes the highest quality quick-service fried chicken restaurant in Canada.
“Growing up, we had a Church’s Texas Chicken® near our school and we would visit regularly to enjoy the delicious food and spend time together,” said Nadeem. “We looked into franchising after moving to Ontario and we are so excited to be sharing the bold taste of Texas with others here.”
In addition to his family’s restaurant franchise business, Nadeem has established himself in the community as a humanitarian, political and economic leader, having worked with a number of dignitaries in the city of Brampton where he seeks to make changes to improve the local community. He has also assisted many MPs in their election campaigns and served as the Chairman of a local NGO.
Menu enhancement and innovation is vital in sustaining such significant growth while spreading the bold flavors of Texas to new markets. For instance, Chef Eric Stein recently made a notable change to a popular core menu item, the Mexicana Sandwich, which features a hand-breaded fried chicken filet topped with crispy tortilla chips, spicy mayonnaise, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and American cheese. It’s recent modification – a buttery and toasty brioche bun – elevates the item, attracting both existing and new restaurant guests at an exciting time of growth and transformation for the brand.
These latest openings of Church’s Texas Chicken® locations are part of the brand’s overall expansion plans and commitment to global growth. The brand announced earlier this year the plan for 100 new international restaurants slated to open throughout the rest of the year.
